Father of Unnur. Víðir is a powerful, athletic man “capable of jumping his own height in full body armor, both back, and front”. Víðir is also an excellent swimmer. There is supposedly no game at which he has an equal. His behavior is always polite, but firm — he gives good advice and is kind and mild, yet he is not thought of as an intelligent man because of his way of talking. However, Víðir’s wise insights and deep understanding strongly suggest that he is as smart as he is handsome.
