While descending into the dormant Thrihnukagigur volcano, my heart was pounding with excitement. And it’s so amazing to be surrounded by different colours and shapes of rocks that were formed about 4500 years ago.
The stunning journey is actually not limited to visiting the inside of the volcano, but also outside. We walked on a path through the lava field and crossed between the North America and European tectonic plates when heading to Thrihnukagigur. It’s tranquil and beautiful.
