Pickup Service
Most of our clients get to the meeting point by taking the bus from Reykjavík. We highly recommend that you give your car a day off and take advantage of this option. Please note that if you book our tour with pickup, the default pickup location is BSI bus terminal. If you prefer to pickup at a different locations please feel free to pick a location from the dropdown menu for a small additional fee.
Pickup time
The pickup starts 30 minutes before the bus leaves Reykjavík. Please make sure to be ready on time at your pickup location. If you’re being picked up from your hotel, it’s important that you’re located somewhere where you can see the bus arrive. The driver is not required to look for guests in the lobby. The pick-up bus will pick you up from your hotel or bus stop and bring you to BSI bus terminal. There you will enter a different bus with our logo on it. This bus will take you to our meeting point where the tour starts. The drive from BSI bus terminal to our meeting point is about 30 minutes.
Pickup locations
We have a large collection of pickup locations within central Reykjavík. This includes most designated bus stops in the center of Reykjavík and a selection of hotels. You can see our pickup locations in a dropdown menu the booking process. The default pickup location is BSI bus terminal. There is a small additional fee for pickup at your hotel or a bus stop near you.
IMPORTANT for downtown Reykjavík
Note that in downtown Reykjavík there are special bus stops, NOT at the hotels themselves. You can see the closest bus stop to your location on this website or your hotel staff can tell you the nearest available bus stop.
Recognizing the bus
Reykjavík Excursions by Icelandia operates the pickup, so please look out for one of their buses. Some of the buses are obviously ours as they are fully decorated with our photos, others have a moderate shield in the front window that says ‘Inside the Volcano’
