This photo gives an idea of the hike which is an integral part of the tour. It starts from a parking lot at the Blue Mountains Country Park, and you can see the mountains at the horizon. Base camp is visible in the bottom right corner and you can actually see the hiking path leading from it towards the mountains. This is the route covered in the hike.
